There Are Some Sick People Out There
BBC NEWS | England | London | Man 'had sex with victim's body'
So you're walking around the streets drunk, and find a girls body.
I'd like to think most people would call the Police, rather do what he 'apparently' did.
Certainly an 'interesting' excuse for why his DNA was on her.

Mr Dixie (the accused) had a history of sexual violence.
That, to me, is game over!
Hang him .... really, we don't need this scum walking the streets and breathing our air!
I get more than a bit wound up by these things - I would rip him apart

There's no way he'll get away with this defence. How can a known wrong'n stumble across this situation?
The girl had everything going for her. What a ******* for trying to deny it.

The thing is, with this sort of serious crime, reoffending ruins or cuts short the victims lives. It is not like a shop lifter being let out and knicking a jumper from M&S!

Read this in the papers today. absolutely disgusting, the cvnt should just get a bullet in the head!
To put all this sentencing crap into perspective, I know of someone that served a year behind bars for a traffic offence in which no one whatsoever was hurt. How can the government justify sending rapists, murderers etc away for similar stretches? If you kill someone you shouldnt be allowed a life yourself!

Ignoring that this fella is one sick b*stard what I don't understand is why murderers don't serve life sentances ie never get let out? That was the whole point wasn't it when hanging was stopped for murder?

To be honest, after reading the accounts in several of the broadsheets and tabloids, I wouldn't be surprised if she was already dead before he performed his indecent act. That's not saying that he didn't do it though.
I've heard so many people joke about it before "I've been single so long I'm not bothered if there's not even a pulse, as long as they are warm" but all those I know who have joked about it in the past are actually really shocked too.
If he murdered her, then he deserves the appropraite sentence. Then again, if it's true that she was already dead before he slept with her, I wouldn't be surpised if he got locked up in a padded cell for much longer than a murderer would - it's a sad society that we live in

This guys defence is pathetic. He happens to have a history of sexual assaults. And the odds that there were two people out that night, one of whom was a murderer who killed for the fun of it and then this guy who just took advantage are just too minute to even consider.

We have to remember that NL does not believe that Prison is worth while now because it does nothing to rehabilitate dyed in the wool crooks. It is best they say to give them community service instead so that they can not bother to turn up for that of course and go out and do it all again!
Of course that is much cheaper than building those Titan prisons which they have just cancelled and what importance is the safety of the public any more anyway!

I'm just trying to see what 'lesser' crime he is admitting to in an attempt to avoid a murder crime?

Sounds like rape to me then!

Leaving yourself wide open for a p1ss take there Pete.
And, yes, illegal under the Sexual Offences Act 2003.
Sexual penetration of a corpse (1) A person commits an offence if—
(a) he intentionally performs an act of penetration with a part of his body or anything else,
(b) what is penetrated is a part of the body of a dead person,
(c) he knows that, or is reckless as to whether, that is what is penetrated, and
(d) the penetration is sexual.
(2) A person guilty of an offence under this section is liable—
(a) on summary conviction, to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 6 months or a fine not exceeding the statutory maximum or both;
(b) on conviction on indictment, to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 2 years.
So he's looking at 2yrs max if his story is believed.
