Don't believe someone is trying to Con me!
I started to get some emails from a guy claiming to have some faulty pulleys from me,.. Something wasn't right ,.. I was getting at least one email from this guy every day ...
Here it goe's - sorry its a bit long .
Had a email on the 14.01.08 that went something like this......
hi i got a 93-00 4 piece lightweight pulley kit Blue from you 10 mouths a go and thay have got craks in them and my mechanics have told me that thay are ****t so what do i do as i got them from you so wood you let me no what to do
This was a bit of a shock, So I replied can you send me a photo please?
He then said he cant because he doesn't have a camera ,.... So I then explained that the pulleys dont crack, if he can get a photo to me rather than sending any pulleys It will save him any hassle and I will replace the pulleys free of charge If I can't see a problem ,...
So I got this back ,...
well one is crakt and i have had them on the car so i do not whant them to brack wile i am driving so i have sent them to you to test mate just to be on the safe side and you may of sold 300 sets but you will git 1 or 2 that are not rite so i have sent them to you and you can test them and send them bake to me is that ok as i have sent them to you so will what to git them bake let me no if this is cler to you as i am disabuld and i find it hard to spell and i am sory for that mate
A few days after I got hi did you git them to day mate
I was like ,... I thought you was sending a photo? Ok no worries . I will let you know asap - Im pretty sure they will be

I then asked for how he paid for them ? Paypal ? credit card? No its was a postal order he said .....
Few more days passed ...... have you got them yet?

He then started to explain the he was desperate for them,.... what am I going to to for him ??
My reply was,.
Sorry But we still havent recieved them,.. I am trying to work out when you brought some from us in the first place as I cannot find the order anywhere.
He then offered me £50 for a full set .
" I can not sell you a pulley set for £50 pounds sorry . If I had the old
pulleys you would get free replacments . Other than that I will do them for £125 for you which is cheap and refund your money when the others turn up"
ok £100 and you have a deal what do you say mate

Sorry but I cannot sell at £100 .. I have only a few classic sets left in
stock and these sell at £160 + post on the website,.... I cannot sell you a
cheap set and lose out because you have not posted the first kit back to
me,...
I cannot carry on this conversation with you as im not getting anywhere.
ok so just send them at the same time mate i will send the paymunt on munday ok so what day will i git them from you mate wood you let me no pleas

But I have just stumbled across this email dated 06-01-08 (different email address)
hi i am moding my scooby wrx 1995 to put in to max p and farst car and in to car shows and comps and i whas wondring if you wood sponser me in this as you wood git you name on the car and in the mags and git lots of advertising from me as i have bintold thet my car is going in to max p and farst car as i no them ther so just tring to git the car dun so i hoop you wood like to help me

Personally, I'd send him a dictionary and a few self help books on improving writing and grammar skills.

actually send him a nigerian scam letter, telling him to pay £200 to a paypal address. (make another one with another email address and forward the cash to your real one)
and then send him the pulleys lol.. and then hes a REAL customer

My guess is he's only 16 and is hoping to get an Impreza when he is 17 ( assuming he can find someone to sit the written part of the driving test ). He's sending these emails to every car parts supplier in the country hoping he can eventually get enough free parts to build himself a complete car.
