I assume it's Northern Irish? In which case no. Although, I used to drive an Escort on Irish plates around Warrington which did me no favours during the time after the IRA bomb there...

yep, there's lots in england with NI plates, not a lot of difference but easy to spot

watch out for spuds in your air filter and on st patricks day,17th march, shamrock might appear along the door sills.

mine has irish plates and i had no probs.

m8 here in Belfast if we buy a car from the mainland and tax it for the first time we are given the option to keep the english reg or get a new n.i reg free of charge . p.s you might find that the car you are go,in to look at original came from england !!!!

Few year ago my cousin had a Golf on Irish plates. Supose the surname Maloney didnt do him too many favours either. This was at the height of the troubles, not long after the manchester bombing.

But he was awoken one night too the sound of his door being kicked in and police rushing up the stairs.

He was taken away from questioning wile his house was searched for expolosive devices.

They made a proper mess aswell ripping carpet & floor boards up aswell as cutting his three piece sweet up looking inside.

So apart from a few hours in a police cell & his house being tore about he didnt have any bother.
