Default Odd road markings outside my office

Never noticed this before but this is a normal NO ENTRY sign on the road

and this is how far it is away from the junction

I am guessing that after missing the NO ENTRY signs at the junction, this might remind you after traveling 300 yards that you are going the wrong way

Maybe it's for any motorcyclist pulling away from that parking bay. Still would have been riding for a bit before getting to it though...

good point, but I am sure the big mean car coming the other way might have given them a reminder...this is central London so anything goes.

Would need to be supported by upright no entry signs - where are they located?

Just found it on Google Earth!

'tis on Percy Street at 51 degrees 31' 06.55" N and 0 degrees 07' 59.43" W

Looks like it used to be a two-way street, but they blocked it off at the TCR end.

Crazy, but you guys keep voting Red Ken back in

The restriction starts at the sign.

We've had a couple of this kind of oddity installed to enable delivery vehicles to reverse into a one way street.

I don't think so, from memory it's so that bikes can get into the parking bay without having to ride around the block to get down the one way street.

I hate that
If I want to swing by the office, I have to go all the way up to nearly warren street to come back down again. Unlike most of the cyclists in london that just ignore one way streets

Before the building on the left was re-developed, there was probably a car park exit there.
