Has anyone got a refund for a track day because of anything like this.

Depends on the company running it.

check your contract with them, it may also depend on how far away (time wise) the track days is.

If push comes to shove then try to sell the 'place' yourself on somewhere like sn.

I would contact them and politely ask for a credit note. I would imagine it will depend on whether they are full and have a waiting list

I have had to miss two trackdays at very short notice. One was with the MLR after my wife was rushed in to hospital with high blood-pressure during pregnancy and they allowed me to rebook on another day.

The second was with Easytrack when I couldn't get to the track (Anglesey) as the *** (I think) was snow bound! They gave me another day free of charge.

I've also rearranged a day with Javelin come to think of it!

So in answer, maybe not a refund but probably another day.

Palmersport this Saturday, my son had it booked but his VXR Corsa's engine has let go for the 2nd time in 3 months

If you get in touch with them early enough they'll usually give you a credit note. It's happened to me plenty of times in the past.
