i have bought a few things for the car/bike from the USA over the past 6 mths, all arrived o.k with no duty to pay etc, delivered by either interlink or dhl.

this item has been sent to parcel force and they want £17 VAT and get this, £13.50 HANDLING FEE !!!

now the duty fair enough, got caught this time by gordon brown, but the handlin fee, its the same price as i booked a proper parcel with them, robbin gits !!!

i have already paid the carriage via USPS dhl and interlink never wanted ought

Yep, I got done with a similar charge a little while ago with a package from the US. Takes the pi$$ if you ask me.

Handling fee?!?!?! That's their frigging job isn't it??? To handle packages and post, that's what the postage charge is for. Or is it £13.50 to send you an automated letter!

Wonder if you can ask them not too touch it , just leave it on the floor? it should be a option to save £13.50 or not

They see this as a handling fee not for the parcel but for paying the customs charges upfront for you.
Thanks

Not like you can opt out is it..... I would gladly pay it direct if I had the chance. Thieving motherfunksters
