Domplayer are scum
I'm so hacked off. Twice in as many days I've downloaded video content via torrents only to find that whilst all the data is there - 350mb of it - it will only play via "domplayer" and it proudly states as much in the 5 seconds clip that plays directing you to the website. Here is the best bit; domplayer is like $5 bucks but I'm fvcked if I'm ever paying that out of principle. I won't have cowboy tactics dictating the way I spend even a single penny and that they allow people to download an entire torrent only to find it won't play without some stupid special program is a low blow IMHO.
Does anyone know a work around or where I can steal domplayer. I say that quite bare faced. I want to commit a crime. I want to thieve the b@starding program from them for being so bloody underhanded and wasting my time/bandwidth.

I had this the once with a Heroes series 2 episode, I downloaded some software that cracked it and converted it.....
Which worked great....only to find it was actually a spoof file (it was an old episode from series one ).
Can't find teh programs I used to decode it though....its somewhere on my system, but its so full of junk.

Just join a decent private torrent site. They have no fake files or any other rubbish like this. The selection will be a little smaller, depending on the site you go to.
Revolution, Super Torrents and TorrentLeech are ones I hear talked about.

Can't be arsed with those stupid admission rules, limits etc.
Just engage a bit of common sense and one can get pretty much what they want from the various 'nova sites and the 'bay. Look at who its from, the kind of traffic its getting and feedback, then preview the files whilst they are downloading. If its no good, click on the next result.
Unless your after films - where speed suffers. Which would push me past my fair usage policy pretty damn quick. Just as well really, as I don't have the attention span for most films anyway .

Guys......
There is a world of milk and honey far away from the virus/advertising infested world of torrents.
NewsGroups....
All of the same stuff without any of the rubbish crucially the download speeds are a huge improvement.
I can easily download a five gig DVD in just over an hour and blue ray DVD in about three hours.
700 Mb Xvid takes about 15 minutes.
BY the way I have a normal 8 Mb Internet connection.
Newsgroups are the way forward.

Do you pay to use that?
Just my opinion, but I would never pay to download illegal material. Otherwise, if I have to pay something, I may as well get the original material.

£25 a year??? Is a small price to pay considering the huge increase in speed
If you see an Xvid you like Sweeney Todd for example you can be watching it in 20 minutes. You can't buy Sweeney Todd for another couple of months and it certainly doesn't cost 10p or less
I suffered with torrents and torrent groups for ages.
Newsgroups are a massive improvement is the best thing to happen since sky TV..... and I pay hundreds of pounds a year for that...
With the Internet Buy cheap/get for free pay twice...... stupid advertising, 10 hours to download a film, malwear, viruses and idiots. You just don't get this with newsgroups

I looked into Newgroups but it just seemed so complicated. I had no clue how you download stuff and then decode it into usable files. Also, it seemed like there was simply millions of part of each file to be downloaded but no 'download all' function. I was highly

A friend of mine uses bit comet for the p2p client and isohunt for the searches.
He has pretty good download speeds (100-200kps) and he only ever got one bad file in two years use!
And its alll free!
