Anyone else getting calls from this number? I'm getting calls from it 3 times a day and it's starting to do my nut in, I'm on TPS and emailed them to complain but the calls keep coming. Can BT block a specific number?

Will you answer it, having to phone you 3 times a day and getting voicemail doesn't make my day either!

I was called by them the other day, twice. Told them they had more chance of me using smoke signals than taking up one of their offers Poor chap really did not know what to say to that

Because they don't have enough agents - the dialer pushes out the call then as you answer it suddenly finds it has no humans to talk to you. There's some Ofcom rules about this though because last year some naughty companies were really overdriving the automated dialers with no hope of putting a real agent on the end when the customer answered.

Cheers Miniman, that might explain it, bloody annoying though. I'm going to phone BT, get them to stop their nuisance calls or I'll go to one of their competitors equally dodgy phoneline suppliers

Just called BT (got an English lass ) I asked if it was a BT number, she said not that she is aware of She gave me the Silent call guard number and told me it takes 24 hours to work, if the calls continue after that I've to phone BT back

Silent call guard no is 0870 444 3969, for anyone wanting to register with them
