Police Cyclists
Overtook one of these on my way to work this morning.
As traffic slowed ahead (15mph) he caught up.
I was in the middle of the road and was slowly edging towards the kerb to allow him room to overtake.
He cycled up to my bumper, obviously wanting to undertake
He manuevered round me and asked me to wind my window down.
"Did you see me"
"Yes"
"Why did you move over?"
"To allow you room to go past"
"You should allow more room for cyclists"
"I did, Should you be undertaking?"
"I wasn't"
"Yes you were"
"Just give more consideration to cyclists" and with that he cycled off.

Our local community support orifices and cops are only seen kissing the local kids ar$es outside the shops or sat with speed cameras at the side of the road waiting to catch another carreer criminal motorist.
Never, ever seen one come down our road in 10 years.
In either case not much use when we where burgled!

So in summary then this post is really about a bloke who drove into the path of a cop because he doesnt know the highway code...and then told everyone, thus looking as daft to us as he did to the copper in the first place.

Depends entirely if there was a broken white line indicating a cycle lane and also depends if you are just a self righteous **** who dislikes police and/or cyclists
#16
I don't dislike police and/or cyclists, but believe they should obey the rules they inforce....

Then the cyclist was 'technically' in the wrong, however most drivers appreciate that it's safer to leave a gap up the inside (in queueing or slow moving traffic) for the cyclist rather than forcing them on to the opposite side of the road or forcing them to sit behind the traffic sucking on it's de-catted exhaust fumes
However, as previously mentioned you are 'technically' correct

Whilst
Usually you would move to the middle of the road rather than the kerb as it is safer for the cyclist hence why he asked for the window down and a chat, however no offence has been committed hence why nothing else done.
Infractions have been given 4 less

I dont think he is any of these I also dont think you should be calling him it either especially as your next quote was saying he was 'technically' correct.

sounds like another case of "we'll do what we want and bollox to the rest of you"
Had a similair incident a few weeks ago, with two police cyclists riding their bikes along the pavement, to by pass a redlight as well.
The pavement has a brick wall on one side and railings on the other so its not wide enough for two people to walk down side by side.
These two are riding up the pavement and i'm walking down the other way with my dogs in tow.
Lead copper shouts "move aside, police officers" to which I retorted "This is a footpath and you shouldnt be riding your bikes on the path" The first one just snorted as be barged past and the second got off and waited as I walked past. Yes I did say thank you to him!
The first one wasnt even a proper copper, he was one of those pretend policemen, a community support officer!

I'd have knocked him off his bike whether he came up the inside - shouldn't have been undertaking - or the outside - shouldn't have been overtaking. Cops are turning into scum.
