hey peeps never had a car with big rims b4 last car was 14" ok dont laugh now!!
anyhoo i heard changing tyres on big rims can damage the alloys can anyone offer up their advice on experience.
where do u think is suitable i.e. can quikfit budget ats and the likes change these sizies ok or have i got to source out aftermarket wheel shops?
and do they still use tyre levers or is it high tech machinery?
as youve guessed i aint got a clue what to do!!!!
what sould i be looking for in tyre changing shop and is there a technique not to damage it i.e. working on the inside rim as opposed to the side u can normally see.
any advice ppl would be great!!!

Just take it to a decent place, and let them know you will be watching closely, never had a prob tbh, and I have had many many tyres changed
Only time I did kick off was when they tried hammering weights to the outside rim of my alloys

idealy the tyre fitting machine should have a plastic bit for sliding the tyre onto the rim instead of a metal 1 although if the fitter is careful a metal 1 shouldn't mark the wheel.
i'd go to a wheel/ tyre place instead of a kwik fit outfit as they're more likely to do the job properly
where abouts are you based as i can recommend a few places in the leeds/ bradford area
