Default HAVE WE ANY HAMSTER BREEDERS?

Unfortunately my wife’s hamster past away last night which she love very much and I want to get her another one but would rather get one from a breeder as they tend to have a better temperament and live longer.
Dose any one on here breed Syrian hamsters or know of a breeder local to leigh warrington st helens area ?
Please no silly or un thoughtful reply’s

I'd recommend a pitbull hamster. They make a great family pet providing they're trained correctly. Watch out though they have a right nip on them if you antagonise them. Hope that helps.

A Decent pet shop is usually sufficient.
i used to breed syrian, chinese and russian hamsters.

As long as they are active theres not much difference between a breeders lot and a decent pet shop lot, they all come from the same place really.

me and natalie dont breed hamsers but we do keep them.

have a russian dwarf hamster called henry. hes very tame about 15 months old, very quiet though and only comes out when being cleaned out or petted.

also in a seperate cage have a syrian hamster called jingles. shes about 6 months old and very lively. not tame enough to pick out her cage and pet, as she tends to do a runner or bite. she smells fishy too about twice the size of henry who apparantly weighs 55g exactly - dont ask

id have thought a good respectable pet shop to be honest.

me and nat got both of ours from 'pets at home', and when one dies, will replace with the same.

My wife’s hamster angel came from pets at home in Warrington and to be honest the girl that we dealt with was very helpful and seemed to know quite a bit about hamsters I reason I was asking about a breeders is that iv been told that privately bred hamsters tend to be stronger and last longer and can be less likely to become bitters
As angel never bit at all from being 4 weeks old

chinese hamsters are ficious little *******, especailly the lady ones.

i had 4 in one cage, 2 boys, 2 girls, the boys were cool, slept together, wahay missus and the girls slept singley in other corners.

one day i noticed blood in the cage, the 2 lady ones had took some good yanks out of their *********, nasty little *******, there ******* went from tiny little apple seed size to little bigger than peanut size, totally gross.

took em to the vets and he told me they no longer had nads ha ha ha

in the end i seperated the 2 girls to their own sections and the boys lived happily ever after.

then 1 day,the girl got out, my old man put it back in the wrong section, girl on girl, wahay, only one survived !!!!!

women huh !

well we got henry (the russian dwarf one) last january, and he was approx 6-8 weeks old then, so hes what? erm.... its early.. 15-16 months old.

weve probably spent nearly £50 when he had his operation (has an elvis lip now) on that and antibiaotics, but hes seriously part of the family.

cant have cats/dogs etc as im illergic to pet hair, but i can cope with a hamster.

Ours went all lumpy and hairless, looked like a little Gollum.

Get a Ferret, they live ages and are much smarter.
