Default Recieving money from abroad via Bank Transfer

What does the sender of the money need to do a bank transfer from abroad

They have requested IBAN number and said etc

So what exactly do I have to provide them with so they can transfer funds to my account

It is money being sent from Germany or Switzerland one of the two

IBAN = GB {country code}<sortcode and account number>

Swift Code {BIC} normally 8 alphbetical letters which first 4 would identify the bank the 5th and 6th would be GB {for uk} 7&8 would be something else {not sure what they are for}

Your account number will be within your IBAN info this should be enough for them to locate your account to transfer money

both the IBAN & the BIC {swift} that should see him right. You will soon know as if it isn't right someone like my missus will be calling him to clarify it all

Also congrats on 7000th post
