Thumbs up Sherwood Forest Mountain biking

took the day off work today and headed early on over to Sherwood Pines mountain biking centre (nottingham)

the crappy weather - freezing wind and torrential downpours - did its best to ruin it (as usual) but well worth a look if you're into biking and in the midlands area. Its pretty much right next to centre parcs.

Had set routes for beginners (green) through to red and black for experienced. Did the blue and red then got totally soaked. Will be back on the black later this year. Had enough for today - 10 miles in wet sand with the wind in your face and the rain on your back aint half tiring!

Off to clean my Kona now

Neil

I walked up the Black routes in the Kielder forest at new year (no one on them!) and I was stunned at what you lot go down.

Some of them drops are terrifying!!!

I like the way that there's these huge warning signs and notes of the GPS position so you can let the Ambulance know where your bloodied remains are

I'll stick to roads and bike tracks thanks
