Anyone else use the Urban Exploration forum?
aka UK Urban Exploration Forums
looks like its shut down for good
it became infamous after someone entered the old Longbridge Factory and posted up photos on the forum and the then owners got the hump and threatened all sorts of legal action
pity, brilliant site

Forum is up but with the following message....!!
The end of an era, or the beginning of a new one? For now the forums are closed. They might return, they might not. It all depends whether I feel like it in the future. But by then no doubt time will have passed us by, and you'll find somewhere else. Most of you have a second home anyway. Why? Forums are wrecking UE. Too much politics, abuse, opinions and bull****. Sod that. It was supposed to be a friendly thing and it's clearly not. I'll keep on exploring. Most people I know will. But the great places I go will just be for my eyes only and that's probably the best way. No hordes of people following, no danger of places getting locked down. So, in the last couple of years, I hope we've opened your eyes to the unseen. Some of you have been converted, some of you hate us. Regardless, we've had an impact and I hope you'll remember us. For anyone that cares to get in touch, my email is anchorspreadable@gmail.com
Take care and farewell.

Ive had a quick look round that site, and it seems pretty cool
Is it kinda go somewhere you shouldn't go (ie a big tower type structure), take some cool pics and post em up, and scarper before being caught kinda thing
If so, i might be able to sort some of the building i work in

OMG... 28DL shutting down!? That's a real shame.. it's one of the better sites on the net, I've spent hours on that site.. in some cases looking at old places where I used to work or spent time at (and no that's not the asylums).

I`ve been on there for a while now, done various "explores", It`s an awesome site and it will be a shame if it does dissappear, but I can understand the reasons behind it.
Shall still keep exploring and taking the pics, its quite an adrenelin buzz!

We were doing this before the web appeared, scrap yards, old houses and with the added excitement of being bladdered and usually needing a poo in your case

That's a shame I have recently been lurking on that site quite a lot.
This site has some good pics and write-ups
