My dad once went to a blaze like that in the Meadows area of Nottingham.
The tenant wondered why all of his marijuana was recovered by the fire crew. It was shortly confiscated by the Police and he was arrested

Been to quite a few of these 
It's amazing the lengths they go to to hide the operation.
Normal suburban house rented out with every inch of space used for growing a 200k crop. All windows have curtains fitted and then are close boarded behind to hide the uv lighting inside. All vents, cracks and doors are duck taped to keep the smell and light in and industrial ducting removes the condensation & heat through the chimney flue. All powered curtesy of the mains feed from the street lighting. The complexity of the wiring/timers inside has to be seen to be believed.
