Default Go kart advice please

After going karting at the weekend, I'm hooked! I would like to get my own as there is a great track near by, but have no knowledge what-so-ever of go karts! Anybody got any advice on what to get? Don't want anything too slow!

Hi Geoff,

Drop me a PM and I'll steer you in the right direction. Let me know budget, local track, weight (no really!!) etc.

Cheers

Yeah - Zip cart is the way to go.
My mate and I went halves on a 100 A Kart.
He went broke before I did.
You can easily waste a lot of money if you are not careful - and I mean a LOT!

Whats the budget for a full season then?

Not quite the same, but my RC rallycross buggy is worth more than both my real cars put together

If you are looking at low cost then club 100 may be an option, essentially you lease the kart per race..Welcome to Club100 - Europe's premier 100cc 2-Stroke Arrive-and-Drive karting company.

I have raced rotax maxs for several years and this can be very pricey, and now this season I fancies something new and am in the easykart champ.. take a look at easykart.co.uk they have lights and heavy classes for seniors and you cant tinker with the engines so the size of your wallet isnt a major factor of whether you finish first or last, its down to skill.. The kart is 2.5k new and its a 125cc 2 stroke and very quick..

PM if you need anymore info
J

Serious karting can be VERY expensive. Motorhome, trailer, awning etc etc. Not fogetting a couple of karts, several motors, a ton of spares and piles of tyres.

Club 100 sounds good a good way to get the hang of things

Richard.
