we need to get a price to shift our household goods to brisbane from ayr. its enough to use up quarter of a 20ft container as we have decided to bin most of the wooden stuff like beds and tables etc.. so , does anyone work for a company that can do this ? mostly white goods, sofas and kids toys etc. not enough to justify a full container.. any help would be appreciated.. we leave circa middle june..

Good idea, would have thought Oz had plenty of tuning bits (APS etc) - I first drove an impreza in Melbourne..
..mind you I guess importing bits is expensive still out there..

took 11 weeks
no breakages
dont forget no point taking your fridge they cant handle the heat here you will need an aussie one

you may find that for 1600 you will have to box and pack yourself
if you going to get a container may as well fill we new home stuff from cosco as most stuff is way more expensive here
tv`s may work here depends on make
dvd and home cinemas will not unless you can decode it
take a chance will you fridge, I meet loads of uk guys whose fridges pack up within 6 months
also you will have to sort out all you own custom clearance and move from port to home
2300 for the service we got was very cheap and you would hard pushed to match it they measure the stuff and charge you per cm2
we had 3 guys packing all day at dunstsable
and 2 at brissy
good luck with it

Shipping has gone through the roof in the past 3 months so I would have thought you are looking at US$3000+ and fees on top for a 20ft box, 40ftHC wont cost that much more.
