Where the Hell do I start on my choice
Lyrically like the desperate sadness of Sarah MacLachlans 'Hold On', or the frustration in Heather Nova's 'Island'. The melodrama of Paula Cole's 'Cowboys' or the poignancy of Natalie Merchant's 'Life Is Sweet'. Or maybe the incisiveness of Eddi Reader's 'What You Do (With What You've got)'.
Musically the opening guitar on 'Wish You Were Here' always has the radio loud and me silent. Cowboy Junkies 'Hard To Explain' is good too. I love the complex percussion of Eddi Reader's 'The Blacksmith' and Tracy Chapman's 'Mountains o' Things'. Maybe the rebellion and anarchy in 'Won't get Fooled Again' ?
