A real long shot this and a bit sad I know...
All the copiers at work are small low-end Xerox units (can't remeber model no. I'll look tomorrow)
The default setting is always 2-sided copies! Everytime we use a copier we have to manually change to 1-1 sided. Also the Auto Select never recognises an A4 sheet when laid on the glass so we end up having to select "A4".
Is there a way of re-defining he default so it remains on a preferred setting?
/Waits for a Scoobynet photocopier engineer..

Your in luck my dad use to work for xerox he said you have to go into diagnostics and reset it
It also sounds like one of the sensors under the platen glass is stuffed so you will have to get new sensors for it too.
How many copiers do you have? and do they all have this problem?
Hope this helps

There's loads as it's a huge company with many offices. I've only used 2 or 3 and they are all the same.
I think we rent them and they were brought in last year. Pile of junk I say.
15 years ago you'd lift the lid, put the paper in, press the green button and out pops the copy...
By the way I do have better things to do but would be good to find an easy solution. I could then fix each one as I pass by![Wink](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)
How do I get into diagnostics? There is a button with a key symbol but I think it asks for a password.

Are you sure you have better things to do? lol.
Im not sure how to get into them i'll ask my dad when he comes home also get the model number too that will help a bit more.
If all else fails ring them and ask for the password or tell them to get a engineer out![Smile](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)

Hiya if it asks for a password try 1111
if there is a P button on it hold P and 0 or if that doesnt work try
turn the machine off hold the stop button and 0 down keep the buttons pressed and turn it back on it might take you into the diagnostics but not sure what model number it is on.
