What is the common denominator ?
What "Profile" fits the majority of crime perpetrators?
What "Profile" fits the majority of crime victims?
To the Feds on SN - There must be statistics ?
Surely the facts can be discussed ?
Obviously, discounting the millions of Crims who drive at 35 in a 30 etc (Heinous *****, one and all

You ought to read Theodore Dalrymple on criminals and "drug addiction" - he used to be a prison doctor so knows something of the subject. Suffice to say he reckons alcohol addiction is more serious and most of the time the crims just put it on

As above
And, most crims tend to have or come from big families. So they have loads of kids, often to different people and expect the social security to look after them. These kids then look at the adults – see them as never going to work, always drunk and managing to survive – so the kids think well I’ll do the same. And so the vicious circle continues and the population explodes.
The more civilised among us will work hard to provide a home and a stable background for our kids. We will perhaps have 2 – 3 children because that is all we can afford or the size of the house will allow. We will also recognise that to have more will be difficult for child care and to give them each the attention they need for schooling and development and to teach them right from wrong. Whereas the others will see that the more kids they have, the bigger the house they get

Quite a good breakdown of the prison population here
BBC News | In detail: Prisons in the UK, Prison population
So is this

It's clear that a troubled upbringing means you are far more likely to end up in prison.
I would also say that being unemployed does not automatically make you a "chav" or a "criminal"
