Yes and yes Abdabz has savings account and isa with them... Easy access, decent rates, quick transactions and no spam or junk mail at all...

Maybe they thought that john banks was a rival savings company so they gave you special rubbish rates...

I used to be with them, but they didn't pass on interest rate rises and sent out a condescending blanket e-mail explaining how their customers had actually approved of them not raising rates, in a roundabout, utter bollocks kind of way. Left them for Icesave, whose rates are much better, but who are not covered in quite the same way if they were to go bust.
I remember reading that something like 35-40% of ING's customers left them as a result of them not passing on the rate rises.

Ditto, have 7% fixed for a year with ICICI and Icesave, and last years NS&I index linked is effectively about the same at the moment for a basic rate tax payer. Given tax and inflation you owe it to yourself to find the best rates, otherwise you're losing money in real terms.
