which new mobile ?

my 8210 has given up the ghost (dropping it out of a second story window onto a concrete floor didnt exactly increase its longevity...), so i need to replace it with something. Tempted to go for another 8210, but my only concern is that they do seem to be somewhat fragile (it isnt just 2nd story windows that kills them).
Any suggestions ? I'm not a huge mobile user, just looking for something reliable, easy to use, small enough to carry in a pocket and reasonabley hard wearing... anyone tried the sony phones ?
answer on a postcard...

I've got the Samsung A300, and I've dropped it left right and centre, and its still refusing to break. Looks quite nice too. Battery life needs working on though.

is it as user friendly as the nokias ?
its handy after 6 pints of stella to still be able to type in "meeting running on and on, very boring, be home late, dont wait up"

4 options to go for (brother is in the mb industry):
1. Nokia 8310: Smaller & better functions than 8210
2. New Nokia 6310. GPRS system with bluetooth. Excellent phone
3. Ericsson T68: Tri band, GPRS, Bluetooth & colour screen
4. Nokia 7630 (i think): Out next month with built in camera, colour screen, built in PDA. Will be the dogs dangles.
Hope this helps.

T68 is just being released on Orange ... saw the billboard advert the other day.
I have had mine for 2 months now, it's great.

Stick with the Nokia phones IMHO
The early 8210's did have problems, but the later ones with software version 5.29 on are a lot better. Had mine replaced via Orange warranty and this latest ones is a LOT better (must drop it at least once a day-by accident) and its fine.
If I had to change it than I would go for the 8310, in fact if Orange had got off their ar$e and started supplying it I would have one by now, dont want to fork out £250 for a sim free one.
So get another 8210 (free on contract + loads of freebies)
or go for the 8310
Cheers

Having been using the 8210 since it was originally released I also now have the same dilemma. Mine lasted the longest, but generally we have found the screens go very quickly on the 8210s.
Anyway, I should be getting a T68 today - I like Nokias most but just couldnt find one that had the same functionality as the T68. The new 7630 was appealing but I was told it would be 4 months before we could get one - and then just for the novelty of a camera - which I'd never use !! Anyway, couple of the guys have 8310s but the radio isnt that good and they are fatter and heavier than the 8210. They do seem alot stronger/more reliable though.
Will advise later what i think once i've had a chance to play.
