Question Stolen Car Insurance Question

Morning all.,

My Friend was awoken at 3:20am this morning to find that a stolen car had gone through the Brickwall to his garden. The hole in the wall is some 25 foot wide and it is a 7ft tall wall.

It has made a real mess of his garden with flying bricks smashing furniture but worst of all causing quite a aleak in his beloved carp pond.

The Police said that sometimes his damage would still be covered by the Insurance of the stolen car. Does anyone know if that is correct??

Thanks in advance

I'm almost certain the car owners insurance will cover the damage

I had a motorbike pinched in the 80,s the driver hit a parked car, and did a runner. he was caught.

never heard anything from my ins co about the incident, other than to say my bike was written off, and the finance was settled.

The insurance company will cover the cost.I had dealings with a fatal a while ago, where a car demolished a wall and debris damaged a pond.It took a while, but the vehicles insurance company paid up for the lot.
Shouldnt be any difference with the vehicle being stolen.

Thumbs up

Spoke to my mate last night.

His Buildings Insurance is going to pay out straight away and re-coup the money for the car owners insurance.

The parents of the Girl who's car it was turned up to look at the damage and did nothing but apologise. Poor people they felt so guilty.

My mate did try and explain that they couldn't help it if some ******* broke into there house and took the keys!!!

Thanks a lot for the hlp guys.
