Is limewire still going as i can't seem to get connected?

I haven't used it for a few months but tried at the weekend and i got the connecting bars in the bottom left corner but it didn't actually connect.
I downloaded the latest pro version and that was the same

Is it gone? is there something better for downloading music?

Always has better luck with Shareaza. Open source, well maintained and good speeds. Connect to the same gnutella P2P services as Limewire.
