Prog for putting your route from google maps onto your SAT Nav...
Hello peeps...
just thought id share this with ya. Basically you plan your route as you would on google maps with all your waypoints/stopoffs etc. then it converts it for use on TOMTOM and the likes.... Works a treat and saves hours !!
Used it a few times and its great, Let me know how you get on.

No worries, Have just plannned my route to southern france, italy, switzerland, Austria, Germany (watch the WRC) then back up to blighty. I thought it would take ages to put all the points in the sat nav but like i said it saved loads of times.

Id be happy if I could plan routes through more than one selected country at once, on my TT5 equipped PDA.

Hi sal,
when you open the program itself the little box comes up. with one of the options being "editor" click on this and it will take you to google maps/earth. click away with all your waypoints/stop offs etc then once you have done click on the "x" top right and it should list all of you points in the screen you started off with. Save your route to your desktop, Now conect your tomtom up, open your tomtom via "my computer" and then drag and drop your file into the itn folder on the tomtom.... now take tomtom and just select itinerary and away you go. I know its not the clearest explination, hope it helps tho.
Any probs give us a shout

I was at the NXP Semiconductors technology centre in Eindhoven last week (ex-Philips) and saw a BMW keyfob that takes route plans wirelessly from your computer using NFC technology and then beams it to your beamer's satnav along using the key-less start signal when you get in the car.
