Angry My Audi RS4 Has Just Been Stolen

Got woke up at 3:15 am by the neighbour who heard his dog barking, then my car been started and driven off very fast.

Ran downstairs, they've broke through the back door, walked through the house into the hallway and taken the keys (from what i thought was a hidden place)

I'm dumnstruck. Never thought this would happen to me. Police have just left.

I'm in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. they believe it has headed towards West Yorkshire.

Please keep your eyes peeled. it is an 06 RS4 in Sprint blue. Standard other than a private Reg - MJK ***.

The main thing is they left me, my wife and our 4 month old daughter alone.

I have often wondered whether to bring my car keys upstairs with me...if they hadn't found them downstairs would they have come upstairs ?? I dread to think what they would have done to get the keys

FFS! The nerve of these people is beyond belief

Feel really bad for you, as you say atleast you and your family are ok, except for the thought of someone walking round your house.

Hope everything works out right for you, and the ***** are caught.

Makes me really angry this ... and one of the reasons I bought a big dog ... ok my dog turned out to be probably the smallest friendlest GSD in the world but still ...

All I can say mate is I hope they crash it, write it off and kill themselves!

I doubt you'd want it back now.. if you do I hope they find it !!

Not that its likely but I'll keep an eye out in Liverpool for you !

Christ that's really bad - gutted for you!

I'm in Harrogate too, I think I've seen you around! I'm in and around the A1/M1 Sheffield during the week so I'll keep an eye out, registration would help though?

Best of luck

I would guess it's headed Bradford way.

Thing is these people have just stolen 50Ks worth of car. If they broke into a bank and did the same they'd be looking at a long stretch. What would they get if they caught them with the car? Not the same that's for sure.

Sorry to hear this mate. I hope it gets found undamaged/insurance pays out quickly.

Main thing is that you and your family weren't threatened/hurt; the car can be replaced.

Firstly - I'm really sorry to hear of this - I hope everything is okay with the wife and baby (and yourself!)

I'm interested in the comment about finding the keys in the hallway, in a supposedly hidden place. Did they appear to go straight to it? Or are there signs of searching for them?

Just seems a little suspicious to me

I always leave my keys on a hook downstairs, with a makers keyring and the registration on the reverse...

Trouble is they're off an old car, same make as my new one.... so when they go outside and realise they can't get the key to fit hopefully they'll **** off, or if not plan "B" kicks in

Same thing happend to me a few months ago, you see it posted here and hope it does not happen to you. I have an alarm and got woken up to the alarm going off and a brick going through my front door. By the time I was out of bed the car was started and gone. I had left my keys in the front door so my fault. I had tracker on my car and got it back within the hour. It's not nice, I ended up installing CCTV so my wife could sleep at night.

Gutted for you, will keep an eye out for it as I'm on the Lancs/Yorks border.

As above though, we could do with the full number plate.

nightmare, you can live in a nice area and think you wont get targetted, but if they want your car, they will do anything to get it.

my keys are left on a hook near the front door, we have no letterbox (block of apartments the mailbox is outside) and all the bump proof locks fitted, cctv etc etc but you just never know.

Sorry to hear about that mate, gutting but it does make me wonder whether they nicked it just because it had some petrol in, currently nothing would surprise me.

Hope it gets returned unscathed or as mentioned earlier, oblitterated with some dead scumbags in the wreckage, anything inbetween is just a pain in the ****.

Sorry to hear about your car. Nothing new to say other than to echo the thoughts above that hopefully you either get it back unharmed or they crash and die a horrible death in it.

I hate all the PC people saying "ooh, you can't say that." Yes I can and I mean it. Cross the line and you lose all your rights.

Don't take the keys upstairs, your family is worth more than bits of metal.

Let's hope the ***** all die a very slow and painful death.

Get a house burglar alarm.

And here's hoping the car is found written off, mine was stolen last year, written off, got a good price from the insurers. We turned it around to good fortune, sold off the wife's car, bought one really nice car, and share the train, works well.

This happened to me in January so I know what you are going through and how angry you are!

They broke in and took my Skoda and my wife's Audi. We got both cars back within the hour though as they'd parked them up, either waiting to see if there was a tracker or for the next part of the gang to drive off in.

The ringleader was caught however and has just pleaded guilty so I bet he'll be out within the week after sentencing as he's been on remand for 4 months.

B@stard.

Steve
