Default Cleaning brass etchings?

I've unearthed an etched brass kit. I really fancy giving it a go, but the etchings, and some of the lost wax brass castings are quite tarnished, so soldering would be a pain.

Does anyone know what I can clean the brass with? I thought of Vinegar, Coca-Cola, Mr. Muscle Limescale remover, and Limescale removing loo cleaner, all slightly acidic.

But would this damage the delicate etchings?

Or do I have to sit for hours with a f/glass brush

How about Brasso, brass cleaner. I don't know about etchings and stuff, but brasso is usually quite good for bringing brass up nicely, depending on how tarnished, it may take a bit elbow grease.
