My passport runs out in August 2008 and I had booked a holiday to crypus, ayia napa in First week of september 2008.
I was going to do a form etc this week, to get back in time before holiday, around 4 weeks.
BUT just been told, I need 6 months remaining on my passport to get into a country?
Has nay1 any advice please, as I am in abit of a pickle now![Frown](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/frown.gif)

Id bite the bullet and visit. I got my passport last year, two days before we set off on the Scumball. There are cheaper and slightly less urgent 'express' methods as well... Ayia Napa is a toilet btw.

Cyprus is in the EEC and you dont need six months remaining: theres only a very small minority of countries who require this. The majority of Europe would be happy with an expired passport.....

Reads this:
Travelling within two days - Identity and Passport Service
Id suggest the same day service, considering the time of year. Also: its the only service where issue is guaranteed. The price isnt a deal more than a standard application either now, and its more than worth it fo rth epiece of mind.
Spain might happily allow you entry with an expired passport or a drivers licance, but you holiday firm wont let you on the plane.....
