That's a 50:50 mix surely, so the amount doesn't actually matter? Just add equal quantities of both.

But AFAIK a US pint = 16 fluid oz., whereas UK pint = 20 fluid oz. A quart = 2 pints (quarter-gallon) and therefore a US quart = 1 + 3/5 UK pints. If my maths is correct...

Try this too.

About 1 litre then, as the rhyme I was taught when we were decimalised goes "A litre of water is a pint and three quarter"

I'm older than England's last world cup win, old enough to be taught Imperial at infants school, but Metric at Juniors, which is why I'll ask for 3 metres of 2x4

I managed to stay safe in the womb until a few weeks after £sd went away, but I sill wouldn't know 3m of 4*2 if you hit me with it. Anyway, if you need 10 ft, ask for 10 ft..... if you get 3M it will be too short.

(This all gets very scary when it is important - the two guys who built our house were 2 generations apart.... that is probably why our sun room is exactly 4.8M wide and and exctly 16 ft long)
