TK-Maxx
WTF is that place ?
I need some clothes, every couple of decades I need to buy some as the old ones have disintegrated, got too small or crawled off having become sentient in the case of my undies.
TK-Maxx appears to be a jumble sale frequented by desperate designer bargain hunters, had to buy some clothes so I went into next, all the Tshirts have Donkey Kong or some such ****e on so went into TK-Maxx and eveything is just ****, anything that looks half decent is the wrong size on the right hanger, or looks ok until you spot the Rhinestones, gold lettering or the word "Wicked" up the leg in 4 inch letters.
Everything looks like someone has polished a van with it,everything is compressed onto the rails rendering it almost impossible to remove it to see what major fault it has, they keep a lot on the floor or hanging from one side of the Hanger.
Its full of orange women in jeans and leather jackets all dolled up spending hours looking for the one decent item in the place, its like they place a handful of things worth having amongst the toss every morning and then set the desperate buggers off to find them.
I have a theory that if you add in the average hourly rate for paid employment onto the time used to find anything worth having in TK-Maxx it would be more productive to do the extra time in work and buy something decent with the proceeds in seconds from a proper shop.

i have bought a couple of things from there, but you are spot on mate,
orange totty,
the delivery drivers must reverse upto the store with the back doors open then bang it in first gear dead quick, and dump it all on the floor.
the items of clothes that do make it to the hangers are that tightly packed and on the wrong hanger its pot luck shopping.
does anyone know where they get their stock from you only ever see one of each item.

I refuse to buy anything with a label on it, Bench, Duffer, Stussy and all that ****, I can afford to buy it but I dont want to advertise them, desginer gear, what a load of ****, the lowest common denominator always goes for labels, anything thats is TK-Maxx cant be any good, Moschino, Hackett (If it were Father Jack it would be cool), Bench, Duffer to me just says the wearer is a tosser who has an above average propensity for wearing those little Beckhamesque skull cap hats the **** ends.
If I am showing a label of any kind it is because it I have accidentally worn my clothes inside out.

Got to agree.
And if you do find something nice amongst the tat, you look at the price tag and say "how f***kin' much!?!" Anything decent or branded is no cheaper than anywhere else.

TK Maxx is good for the occasional thing for me as most people tend to ignore my sizes which gives me a better choice and tidier section to browse. Its sometimes a lot easier to take a look in than visit 5 separate shops.

So are you saying when you ride your bike in your lycra you have the words 'Village People' covered up?

Have to slightly disagree with a bit here!
TK Maxxxxx (Boyakasha!), hate the place, as you say it's a Boy Scouts jumble sale.
But designer stuff?
I tried some shirts at Next and the quality was unbelievably poor, poor, poor.
I tend to buy a fair bit of Ted Baker and especially Paul Smith.
Ok, it's not cheap but then again it's not overly expensive but I think the quality (especially Paul Smith stuff) speaks for itself.
I'm a bit of an odd shape and their stuff fits me perfectly
Bench, Duffer, Hacket etc... won't be seen in me coffin in any of that lot and besides, if you're over 20 then you're too old for it.
Just my tuppence.
