Having problems with the GF's mobile phone.
Every month the bill is wrong (extra call charges etc). She upgraded to a higher tarrif fot unlimited txts and the latest bill she has, has txt charges on it. We have refused to pay the bill as the charges are wrong, so o2 have cut the phone off.
I cant cancel the contract I have to pay it off at over 300 quid.
Where do i stand can I tell them to stick the contract ???? or is she stuck with it for another 13 months ???

Both of you seem to have taken excessive steps to me. If it's clear that they are in the wrong then they will refund the money. I know you shouldn't have to go through that but mistakes will be made so why not just try and speak to somebody to get it sorted. Seems like less hassle in the end IMO

A contract works both ways. If they have breached the contract by not providing a service (free texts) and insist that she pays for them, then there is no way that they can make you buy your way out.
However are you sure they're not billing for previously sent chargeable texts?

As soon as I saw "bill always wrong" I was just waiting to see O2 mentioned.
Done my nut in. Ended 2 contracts early costing £120 but was worth every penny.
Whenever I used to call up about it, they would just talk rubbish.

I dont want to cancel but every month I have to talk to some half witt in the call centre. The problem always gets sorted but I cant be bothered with the hassle every month.
Do I have any rights to cancle ???

I didnt have any joy when it happened to me mate, hence buying out of the contract in the end.
I know loads like O2, but to me their customer service was shocking, and useless at sorting things.
When I called to cancel and ask for my code to transfer my number they just gave it to me lol. I must have been flagged as a pain in the ****!

With O2 it depends who you get -- some of the customer services people are quite helpful and some complete muppets. I suggest you phone, talk to a supervisor and they will generally help you. Certainly you can get the charges removed and perhaps even one months free rental.
You don't have a right to cancel your contract though unfortunately.
