How did they get his leg out? 
I can only assume the fire brigade had to come along and use some sort of hydraulic lifting device to lift the rest of the blocks enough to get his leg out.
OUCH!!!!
He seemed pretty calm though, I imagined him to be screaming, rather than just saying "help me"
