Hi peeps,
A have an ebay question. If you purchass a product on ebay that cost 400 pounds, you pay via paypal with your credit card, the seller has 150 pounds paypal protection, you dont receive the item and instead of trying to get your money refunded from paypal due to the only 150 pound protection you go through your credit card company to do a reverse charge, will you get all your money back?

Mate of mine did just that with aLaptop he was buying.
Wasn't getting any joy with Ebay or PayPal so rang his CC company and told them. They did a chargeback no problem. Think it took a day or 2 to actually credit his account back though.

Top stuff. It is a credit card.
I tried buying a PS3, 60gb on ebay and Ive been stuffed up twice. The 1st time with 500 pounds protection, I got refunded from Paypal. This 2nd time, I am claiming through my credit card company. I did a report and sent it off to them. Dont know the outcome yet but looks like I'll be right. Both sellers had 100% positive feedback but have gone nasty all of a sudden. The negatives for both are now doing overtime. Looks like big scams are taking place. I wont be going through ebay again for the PS3 I'll just buy a 40gb one from a shop.
Thanks alot to all who replied.
