Oh my god, what a great day !!! Spent another Bank Holiday Monday at Notting Hill taking it all in and again I have been blown away by the carnival. In particular Good Times, and the Funktion One sound system was amazing, as was Sancho Panza with the same sound.
The sub bass coming from Aba Shanti was stomach churning !!!!!

NHC rocks !!!
Not gone this year, but went for about 7 on the trot, working there....
Fantastic atmosphere. A bit worrying at times in the crowds depending where you are, but something everyone should try out if you get the chance

Les, from the right points its an amazing experience, incredible atmosphere, and as has been said bass and sound waves like you cannot believe.
I would definatly say make it there some time.

There are all walks of life there, which is a feat in itself getting everyone together. Some amazing floats, some great music, and oooooooh me looooooooooove the jerk chicken

Cant believe its become what it has, especially given what its origins where!
I guess it also depends where you observe from too. Some of the streets and areas are a bit boring, but Westbourne Grove etc make it a brilliant sight and experience.
