Just to let the drivers on the M11 know Essex Police have been placing a camera van with a speed camera on the road bridge after the water tower just North of the Harlow exit (Junction 7)

This hasnt been listed on their web site over the last few days either.

That's a regular(ish) occurance. I'm always cautious coming around the trees until I see that its clear. Never seen it facing the southbound carriageway though.

They also sometimes use the road bridge over the M11 midway between 8 & 9

Thanks for the warning, i had heard rumours of them sitting at the bottom on the north bound side just after it leaves the A406 before it goes from 50 to 70 but i cant see where there is space.

They also run a numberr of Octavia's as unmarked cars on the M11.

There must be a huge number of fatal accidents occurring if the police are being so vigilant

Never seen them there & been running up/down for nearly 9 years now. It would be quite a dangerous place to lurk/chase. On the other hand, I was told by an Essex police person that the camera on the other side of the road was the busiest in the UK!

Thats 1 up & 1 down for 220 times in a year (260 working days less holidays & wfh) since Jan 2000 but with a year off 2002/3

Means I have been J9-J4 & back of that road conservatively 1500 times
