Default GF saw a spider in bathroom and didnt kill it !!

as above, apparently it tarantula size and is now on the loose.

i've been all round the area with my CSI type Surefire flashlight and it cant be found!!!!

i think this behaviour is totally irresponsible!!!

I agree, once spotted they must be removed or destroyed immediately

Never understood people that kill spiders, if you don't like them or are phobic and really need to remove them, then just put a glass over them, slide a sheet of paper underneath and escort them off the premises

Don't drop them or throw them as although they seem fine and scuttle off, their nervous system will have been damaged and they'll soon die. Place them gently and let them get on with their business of catching disease spreading flies

dont get me wrong, i have handled spiders before and gently taken them outside, but this one caused major panic in the household this morning (lots of banging about and screams) from the bathroom area, so has been metally built up to be the mother of all arachnids !!!!!

i cant take the risk!!!!

Admittedly some people are beyond help, maybe a small flamethrower would be more suitable

I agree with Sipie.

They are more likely to be a force for good anyway as he says.

It was probably a she and she's going to sit in there and lay a squillion eggs, and they're going to hatch out and get you in the night!

My mam knows someone who bought a banana plant type thing, it was from another country anyways, she looked after the plant but it was dying, she noticed the soil had a hole in and looked like it had moved, she found a dead male tarantula in a bedroom so knew there must be a female somewhere, she got some people in to have a look and they had to fumigate the whole house, the female had found a warm place to have her babies, it was in a duvet in a spare room but the babies had gone! She still lives in the same house, there's no way I could still live there, I scream everytime I see a spider and recently they have been HUGE

We have three cats. They "remove" the spiders before we can rescue them. Failing that it's the glass and paper method, although you'd need a jug of some sorts to get over a tarantula.

Fazackerly!

That's what I do. Trouble is, our local conker trees have been hit with the blight this year, and they have no conkers! I need to refresh my stash!
