I wrote this recently on another forum so I may as well copy and paste it, as it probably is of more help than just listing what phone I have:
I have a SE C902. Top rated phone, alledgedly. I think otherwise:
It auto reboots regularly (and SEUS doesn't support Vista 64bit), noted by the brief vibration whilst its in my pocket when it restarts
Slow interface/menu system. Seems the processor can't handle the graphics.
O2 doesn't bundle google maps (should be pre-installed)
Instruction manual doesn't tell you what the onscrean logos or symbols mean. Like the E or G under the signal bar (which I now know is GPRS or Edge), or the satelite symbol I once had whilst in Devon, and still don't know what it meant).
Touch screen on camera very much a gimmick (to easy to inadvertantly press the wrong buttons)
Button style (sloping faces) makes it too easy to press the wrong one or more than one, so not that good to text with.
End call/dial buttons raised higher than the short cut/clear buttons. So for example when texting, instead of pressing clear, I catch the end-call button.
WAP button easy to catch, can't be remapped to another shortcut
Phone signal is not as strong or as reliable as the phone's predacessor (W880i). It keeps alternating from GPRS and Edge, losing total signal when switching. 3G is turned off to preserve battery, as the signal round here is none existant anyway
Battery life nowhere near as good as the w880i, both with standby and talk time (possibly due to the poorer signal reception? ). Even though the offical specs state that battery life on the C902 is superior to the W880i (or my old w800). It clearly isn't.
PC suit software still buggy and lack features (like transferring personal data between old and new SE phones). Also tries to make money off you by asking if you want the pro version at extra cost.
Media manager is slow, takes forever to transfer and recode MP3s
Phone takes forever to boot into media transfer or mass transfer mode. And makes the phone inoperable until its disconnected.
Camera picture quality is debateable, it is 5mp, but the detail seems no better than my old w800 camera.
No direct access to a torch mode. Silly, but it is a handy feature. workaround is to use movie mode and enable flashlight.
No memory stick is included, lucky I already have one - what is the point of a 5mp camera if there is no space to store the pics?
All in all, dissapointing, its no better than a w880i in my opinion, what it gains in features it loses in reliability, speed and basic useability.
I should have bought a Samsung Soul.
