Thumbs up Have you ever heard of a "good" new/used-car saleman? I've found one!

It's unlikely, but true!

Simon Barkby at Shepshed Ford is a legend.

I've had the best deal and experience from any salesman I've ever dealt with.

I walked in to the showroom of the main-stealer. I told Simon what I exactly wanted.

He listened!

At no point did he try to sell me exras such as GAP insurance, interior protection, exterior protection, that thing that you'll never use protection and all the other bollocks that they normally try to dump on top of your initial enquiry.

I've chosen my vehicle, spec'd it up to what I want and put the deposit down, purely down to the fact that Simon has listened to exactly what I want and hasn't tried to pressure me in anyway to get a sale.

There have been no extras added, no kickbacks from the companies that want him to sell me their products etc.

I'm super happy as I'll be getting a brand new car at a fantastic price, I've also received the best attention from someone who hasn't just sat there and thought of his commision/bonus.

Should you live anywhere near Shepshed (and I have several main-stealers closer to home, as I don't live near-by) I recommend going to see Simon - he even got me a better price than the internet suppliers on the identical vehicle

I'm that happy with his service that I think this should be posted in NSR and Other Marques. He hasn't even paid me for this glowing review, but he has simply saved me a figure close to £2000. Top stuff

As I've said, I've got a cracking deal, I've saved a good amount of money and I've not been pressured in anyway to complete the deal.

Thinking about it, I'm going to ask him for a kick-back, now!

Sandicliffe It's not Sandicliffe, I wouldn't use those bandits!

It's Shepshed Ford.

A Ford? A Ford? And he didnt even offer you counselling or therapy as part of the after sales package

Seriously, I used Aiden Piers in Lymm to buy my first Scooby in 2003 and he was most awesome... Straight forward no bullsh1t deal making and 2 years of trouble free driving...
There are some honest salesmen out there - it's just finding them!
