anyone got a good old fashioned recipe to make pastry for apply pie?

is'nt it just butter and flower with some water ? i'd put cinnamon and raisons with th apples hmmm made me want one now lol .

we have loads of bramley apples to use up, so this week i'm going to have a mass pie making session.

Once you have made the pasty, put it in the fridge for a little while.

No idea why but rolling it out chilled (not you btw) makes it nice and crispy

Apple pie should taste of APPLES, if you're going to put cloves or cinnamon in it, you'd be as well using cardboard. Like having great steak and covering it in HP sauce.

well 4hrs later I'm just waiting to take

2 pies out the oven, 6 muffin sized mini pies out and 9 tart size pies out.

think I'll buy the pastry next time

results are very inpressive, already we've eaten most of the small ones!!

Bit of lemon juice on your apples will stop them going brown

Glad the results turned out, I love an apple pie. (but do prefer a crumble)
