Change Radiators to Metric - advice

Id like to replace some of our radiators for newer more efficient convectional ones. The trouble is that our house was built with the older sizes and the newer ones either too narrow - or too wide for 'direct' replacment.
I know I could lift the floors and re-jigg the pipes but that is a lot of work.
Are there any plumbers on here who can advise if there are any spacer-type kits that allow you to fit a slightly norrower metric sized rad?
The rads in question are 230mm tall and have distace between valve faces of 924 mm. My guess is that they are officially 3ft rads.

Plumb centre can get all the right sizes you need, although they are more expensive for the imperial size. You may find it cheaper to buy the nearest size double convector from B&Q and pay a plumber to alter the pipework
I would hurry as the cold nights are on there way
