Who has a dental care plan with work?
My firm are about to introduce a dental care plan, and seeing as I was about to sign up with a new dentist I'm thinking of waiting for this, but what is the deal likely to be?
Do you usually pay a fixed amount each month, then get so much dental care included, or just get cheaper rates or what?
Anyone in a scheme like this? Worthwhile?..

I have a brilliant one, I pay 45 quid a month out my top line and me and the mrs get 2.5k of cover a year. It's not an open limit, there is a max payable for each type of treatment but I found a dentist who's charges matched and I now get everything covered.
I'd looked at it before but all the schemes required you to be "of good dental health" before you could take advantage (or charged more depending on the state of your mouth) and because my teeth are rotten, I'd have had to spend a lot myself before getting the advantages.
This one didn't require any such thing so I've had nearly 700 quid of long standing repair work done since July and all repaid within about 10 days.
Mine is through NDP.

I have a private one.
Total rip-off if you as me. I pay £13.95 a month for 2 check-ups a year. Anything needs doing? Pay for it, at stupidly high prices.
He was a NHS Dentist but opted out. Just like a lot of Dentist round here. Son there won't be any NHS Dentists left.
