cant see what it has to do with the FIA who BBC employ to do the commentry anyway

think DC will be a good edition though, got the experiance of driving behind him so will know what he`s talking about from a racing perspective anyway, dosen mix his words when he has something to say either

Brundle can go for me. DC will have far more insight into current F1 than a 10 year ago never was like Brundle.

In an ideal world none of the ITV team should ever be allowed near F1 again. The again neither should Max or Bernie

I think Martin's experience and DC's more recent driving knowledge will be a great duo, and as already pointed out they both won't shy away from giving a strong opinion. Won't miss James "I love Schumacher and Ferrari" Allen though. Louise Goodman will be missed, good equal opps have a woman in the pitlane who knows the subject well.

I wouldn't say it was a vendetta. Brundle was extremely critical of the FIA and Max "Not A ****" Moseley, so it's no surprise that they would prefer someone else to be telling the UK populace about the jewel in their crown.

Think it was certain that something would be said by Max - oh sorry, the FIA.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KREYDiy73qc

This probably didn't help their relationship. Plus Martin Brundle has had a few words with Bernie Ecclestone on the past so I'm far from suprised.

I actually really like Martin as a presenter and I think he is an essential part of the line up. James Allen and the rest, I neither like or dislike so won't miss them.

Surprised they aren't bringing Suzi Perry in from the MotoGP coverage as the token lady.

As others have said, nothing to do with the FIA at all. Joke of an organisation.

5t.

I hope they keep MB on just to **** off max. I doubt bernie has a problem with it, he still gets his money. At least that ****wit james allen is gone along with the annoying ad breaks.

As for dc, good move.

I hope he intoduces the first show with the (sniff petrol) imortal line of 'Och aye the noo mo fo's'

I won't be taking it to seriously as it was written by the Daily Express.

Well, some of the rumour is still that the BBC were offered F1 coverage because of ITV's insistance that they decide who they employ when the FIA were trying to get ITV to sack MB over "The Times" piece.

Glad to see MB going to the BBC.

Brundle and Coulthard will make an excellent team

I can't stand sycophantic commentary and I doubt that either of those two will succumb to that, quite the opposite in fact

Now I'm not fully up to speed with developments and plans in F1 as I'm only a casual viewer, and don't wet my pants at any new prospects and/or news, etc.......but I think this season has acually been not too bad because people have actually been overtaking.

For too long F1 became little more than a high speed procession, led by Ferrari......boring and banal.

it is blatantly obvious to me that the FIA and all in control of F1 and it's rules, are Ferrari fans and seem dead set against McLaren getting one over on the Red team from Italy.

Are we going to see one engine, etc for 2010?? Won't this make F1 like a "single car spec" championship like A1GP?? I always thought that F1 was the proving ground for manufacturers to show off their abilities and develop new technologies that eventually filter their way down to the mass market?

So...... 2010-2012, F1 becomes another version of A1GP, goes back to being a high speed procession (fair enough...maybe led by an alternative team), has no British GP (because Ecclestone is only interested in making money), and steps back to being boring.

For now.....so long as they use Fleetwood Mac - The Chain as the title music, that will do me!!!

Rallying is better anyway, but the Rally Of Great Britain????......PFFFFFFFFFFT...Rally Of Wales........... don't get me started!!

Well put, couldn't agree more

I'd also have liked to have seen David Croft and Maurice Hamilton in there, although I'm sure I heard Crofty commentating on ITV4 the otherday in one of the sub class races, so maybe he has a radio contract with the beeb and a tv contract elsewhere

WRC is a very, very poor relation of what it was 10 years ago, as is BTCC

Brundle rarely gets things wrong. Don't understand your comments.

I just hope Ted Kravitz doesn't get hired by the beeb. He gets everything wrong and slags any team off at the first chance he gets. Last weekends gaff was a classic. ' Kovilinen has pitted and........also the ......... you know........the other finn.......... er....... Raikkinen, that's it!'

What a tit!

Calm down!!! I don't mean anything serious, just things like "there goes such and such, no, no it's somebody else" and the way he shoves his microphone in people's faces and gets ignored and he doesn't know what to say!!

He amuses me, it's not an insult!!

Agreed, but it's still better than F1

All motorsport events seem to get more and more boring as the years roll by, probably heavily influenced by health & safety legislation, but primarliy (I think) due to money.

Maybe I'm just living in the past??

On Sunday, watch the Brazilian GP. Turn the sound off, and talk non-stop about the race. Never say "Errrrrr", "Ummmm" etc. Never make a mistake, never stumble your words, and never repeat yourself.

See how you get on.

If you can do a better job than MB and JA, give the BBC a ring and ask for a job interview.
