A knock is heard on the pearly gates.
Saint Peter looks out of heaven and says,
"Who's there?"
A voice answers: "Barack Obama".
Saint Peter asks "Who are you?"
The voice: "I used to be President of the
United States"
Saint Peter: Really? When did you become President?
Obama: Yesterday.

Is this the US election thread ?
What do we think will happen, what should happen ?
And is middle America that blinkered to not want a black man in the white house, would they be so upset they would want to kill him, does white, middle America not realise that they have only been around for what, 400 years ?
McCain is older than Reagan was when he took office, I usually say that people should not let age be a barrier, but a 72 year old taking control of the most powerful nation in the world, should it not be someone who has to live with the consequences of his actions for a while, ok he may live a good while longer but at 72 with all that pressure ?

Obama is barely Black though. He is the whitest black man alive. He still will not be allowed to be president though America will not let that happen if he does win he will not be around for long. A serious scandal will be drummed up to force him out before an assasin kills him though.

MCCain might be older than Obama,but i would rather have him in charge.He as got far greater experience which is what's needed right now.Plus having been in the US Navy for 22yrs and being a POW in Vietnam for 5/6 yrs,this guy as been their,Faced life and death,knows what it's like to be at the **** end of life,and not just read about it in books..most of Obama's limited experience is out of University teachings etc,with the odd trip to the middle East,just to shake a few hands and smile for the picture perfect moment..

FFS McCain is 72. And IMO Republicans are all fcuked up anyway. Dubya being a prime example.
Obama is, IMO, the better candidate so far as the rest of the world (and the USA I reckon) is concerned but should he be voted in I suspect his days will be numbered.

The other thing about Mcain is that he supported the brutal dictator Pinochet while he tortured and murdered people to stop them from demanding any semblance of human rights.
Mcain suported torture murder and opression in south America under Reagan becuase it helped to make Millionare Americans Billionaires. I cannot see how a man like that should be president.

Obama will be elected on tuesday, the only quetion is how big will the win be?
There are genuine fears in the States that the Democrates will gain control of the Senate and Congress, something which will give them pretty much unliited power.
Still, he can't be as bad as dubbya, can he?
