There are a few on here (and I count myself amongst them), prompted by the other threads today, what's your favourite thing to order from a coffee shop like costa/starbucks etc and what's for when you push the boat out?

For me, std is skimmed double tall latte (the bloke told me they're not allowed to say skinny any more )

Fancy is <deep breath> double tall single pump mocha extra hot no whip.


Anyone thinking of responding "medium white coffee" can pee off down to wimpey where the belong

I've never actually ordered 'proper' 40-words-to-describe-a-drink coffee before. I just chatted to the lady in Starbucks this morning and got confused to hell and back.

I normally end up having something strong with coffee included handed to me and enjoy it!

Can't stand Coffee. A Tea man every time.

I just don't get why people spend several pounds on 1 third Coffee/ 2 thirds foam. Rip off, but as it's see as cool........

In Costa, large cappuccino extra hot, topped with chocolate powder. I prefer latte, but they serve it in a tall glass and I like a mug/cup.

'Bucks, large Latte extra hot, and make sure there's more than 1 inch of bloody drink in the bottom with 5 inch of froth on top Then dowse it with vanilla, chocolate and cinnamon sprinkles to actually give it some flavour as I'm sure they're now buying in Costa's grinds to re-use instead of new coffee Haven't been in a 'Bucks for months due to the above, and I miss their blueberry swirl cheesecake

Oppo (local coffee bar near Leeds Uni), large latte, perfect every time. And the place is always full of gorgeous student girls in tiny skirts

We've only just had a Costa open here, not been in it yet. But when on "The Mainland", I do prefer Costa to Starbucks, but just order a standard latte, a large espresso, or a hot chocolate depending on the weather. I'm fond of a macchiato in a "proper" coffee shop, or in a decent restaurant.

did have some kind of "posh" contraption at the local thorntons once, i do remember it being nice but

1. i was completely wasted after a pub sunday lunch and plenty of stellas
2. have no idea what it was, the missus gave me it to try and sort me out

I usually find coffee makes me worse, not better, the only way it helps is if it makes me chuck, at least it helps dump some of the alcohol down the great white telephone.

Nope, apart from when stuck I've never bought bottled water. I do however enjoy a decent coffee made from a good blend of freshly ground beans and steamed milk. It is much better than instant crap made with water, end of ! The same principal that you could get freshly ground mince from the butchers, mix with onions, maybe herbs or spices and make your own beefburgers, add salad and a fresh bun and enjoy it much more than the dire rubbish sold in McD's. Sometimes quality is worth a bit more cash or time, although commonsense also dictates that often it is not.

Vendo-O coffee because it gets me high as a kite, at home some nice kenko Really Rich coffee (I tend to make a latte out of it as well by boiling some milk and mixing with the Kenko coffee).

In these precious times I have probably offended nearly everyone with the first 3

Anyway, a large, flat white with an extra shot for me (could be 3 or 4 shots depending on the coffee shop)

Its the most expensive coffee in the world.

The difference being that idiots do not pay £40 for 1 portion of veg like they do with the cat poo coffee. Also my potato has not been crapped out by an animal then washed before I get charged for it.
