I won an auction the other day for some bits and pieces that seemed decent value. No one else bid, so I fired a bid in at the start price as the auction was ending. Not long after the auction ended, the seller asked to cancel the auction because (apparently) the kit had been sold outside of ebay and ebay hadn't cancelled the auction as they were supposed to the day before it ended for some reason. I took it at face value and agreed to cancel the transaction.
It's now been re-listed with a start price £50 more
along with a comment that it's being relisted due to timewaster... A search of the seller's history could therefore imply that I'm a timewaster.
Would a cynical person possibly think that the seller was looking to sell it for more than the auction ended at and could indeed wonder if there ever really was another buyer outside ebay?
It appears that I can still leave feedback for the "cancelled" auction... how scathing can you get in 80 characters?
Any suggestions?
Is it worth reporting to ebay?

Well, since he is a seller you can say anything you like without him being about to leave any feedback about you at all. Should he complain, its likely it will be him who gets into trouble.
Although....he may try to argue that he "sold" it outside of eBay, and the timewaster was the person who "bought" it from him outside of eBay, failed to pay, forcing him to relist....![Lol1](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/lol1.gif)
I'd just got for it and leave your feelings for others to see.
