Saw this the other night on EDGE over on Sky. Quite an eye opener.

Basically, the IRS in America have been and still are collecting Income Tax from private individuals, illegally

The consitution states that only tax on gain/profit is due (corporate) and this doesnt cover labour. Labour is basically an exhange of money for work so doesnt count. Also, the 16th ammendment states no new taxes can be added to the constitution, so they cant make up a new law to tax labour but they still send people to prison and repossess property, etc.

Just shows the american government to be slimey, underhanded and nothing better than a massive protection racket!

I haven't heard anything about this, but are you saying that as an employee, you do not have to pay tax in the US?

Yeh, thats exactly right. Legally, you dont have to pay the IRS a penny.

I couldnt believe it when i watched the programme, the governments heavy handed tactics were appauling.

Basically, they hound you and threaten to take you to court if they know you cant afford to fight them. Has made me look on their government in a whole new light i can tell you.

Interesting then how Al Capone was actually convicted for Income Tax evasion and he wasn't short of a bob or two and neither was Wesley Snipes

Surely Wesley Snipes was corporate anyway? But, thats the whole point, the IRS have been convicting people based on a law that doesnt exist.
