I forgot to eject my ipod from itunes yesterday and just unplugged it from my laptop. This morning when I turned it on everything was fine and it was working perfectly. Ive just plugged it back in and it just mentioned its in restore mode and has to be restored before I can use it again. So Ive restored it and its deleted my whole music album (not a problem since its on my laptop anyway so I'll just upload it again) but now its just constantly in restore mode everytime I plug it in and doesnt work anymore
Anyone know a fix for this? Its only about 3 weeks old
I dont want to return it if I can fix it myself. Plus I need it for Poker tonight

Dave
The guys here seem to have a number of similar issue as you've had.
Apple - Support - Discussions - iPod Recovery mode loop ...
Probably best to try booting itunes up without your ipod connected.
then connecting to see if it finds it again.
I had the same problem with mine about 2 weeks ago (4gb nano 2G) and the drive letter issue resolved the same problem you had, well for now that is!!!

If you have to go for an iPOD, first thing to do is ditch the memory hogging turd that is iTunes and get a decent loader for it. I use Anapod, bit long in the tooth now I expect, but works a treat.

Sounds like you have "SYNC" mode on in the itunes options
Try turning it off so it doesn't sync everytime with your PC mate
(I had similar issues with my ipod touch)

Firstly, I actually like iTunes and my PC works a treat with it. If its memory hogging Olly then I suggest you get a new PC
Secondly, I dont use the Sync option, its a pile of sh!te.
Thirdly, Ive fixed it, it didnt just fek my ipod up it fekked itunes, just uninstalled and installed it again. reassigned the drive letter for the ipod and its working fine. 14gb and counting back onto the ipod so far![Cool](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/cool.gif)
PTMW, I dont think you can use 2 different PC's with your ipod if you are using the Sync feature as everytime you connect to the PC its Sync'ing with it'll delete anything thats not on that particular HDD.

I dont like the sync feature anyway so its disabled for me, I use the ipod on multiple machines with no issues that way.
