Hi all,
My wife soesn't really go for "Classic" watches, she's happier with her half a dozen quality fashion watches and owns various "Police", "DKNY" and "DandG" but I think they're a little lacking, personally, in the style stakes.
So, I've bought her a more premium watch, a Tag Heuer WK1320 2000 Bi-metal, second hand for a bargain price of under £200!
I have the male version already (wk1120) as my everyday watch, so I knew exactly what I was doing. Mine has never missed a beat in over 5 years and is still on it's original battery!
Unfortunately, the watch I bought for my wife has a small issue, the strap is a little tight, and could do with a link fitting, which we did not get with the watch!
If I buy from Tag, the link will cost me £60, and I'm not willing to pay it when I know that the watch cost me so little.
Anybody know any good places for a "spare"?
Cheers
Rick

i,ve had the TAG-Heuer "2000" chronograph for about 12 years
used to send it to the uk official TAG dealer (think they used to be call Duval in Manchester)
£200 bill every single time
last time it needed a service took it to the local watch repairer in Cambridge and came out with a £20 bill, fully pressure tested and guranteed - "cashback"
have found this on the web -- not used them

Are you sure it needs a link?
Can you not let it out a little at the buckle, on the spring bar.
Is it a Y link bracelet, or block?
Is it the gold or silver link, or are you not bothered.

It's a block (3 link) bracelet (2003 model, flat centre link). Idon't think she'd be bothered if it wasn't bi-metal. She's just frustrated she can't wear it (and so am I!)
