Question Seiko watches

These watches are seriously under-rated, will they gain the appeal of Omega and Rolex anytime soon do you think?

No, they won't... please expand on the "seriously under-rated" comment though?

But theyre the only firm to make all of their components and serious watch-fanciers all regard Seiko highly, in my experience. I have a number of watches from the manufacturers that youve mentioned, but I wear an SKX009 Big Dive every day.

Have a look at he Sportura range...some excellent innovation there.

Some Omega prices too..

Will they gain the appeal of Omega and Rolex....No.

Seiko have had a 'premium' line of watches for quite a long time, which was set up to challenge the dominance of the Swiss watch industry.

Named "Grand Seiko", they produce some stunning watches, and I'd go as far as to say they're probably better built than a lot of luxury Swiss brands.

Check out the price tags.

SeiyaJapan | Grand Seiko | G-Shock | Seiko Spirit | Prospex | Marinemaster | Citizen | 1. GRAND SEIKO

They're popular in Asia, but most Europeans find it very tough to fork out Rolex money for a Seiko, at least at the moment.

I have two Rolex watches (and six Omegas), but I would broadly agree that Seiko arent broadly appreciated by people who arent actively interested in watches.

Nope, I couldn't make that leap of faith myself. They have some lovely watches though.

I really rate these Seiko watches.

The thinking mans watch, maybe?

One for the man who doesn't feel the need to follow the crowd?

I have a Rolex, but wear my Seikos ... my Rolex cost me £10 on the streets of Dubai Bloody bargain - cheap stuff out there isn't it?
