But theyre the only firm to make all of their components and serious watch-fanciers all regard Seiko highly, in my experience. I have a number of watches from the manufacturers that youve mentioned, but I wear an SKX009 Big Dive every day.

Have a look at he Sportura range...some excellent innovation there.
Some Omega prices too..
Will they gain the appeal of Omega and Rolex....No.

Seiko have had a 'premium' line of watches for quite a long time, which was set up to challenge the dominance of the Swiss watch industry.
Named "Grand Seiko", they produce some stunning watches, and I'd go as far as to say they're probably better built than a lot of luxury Swiss brands.
Check out the price tags.
SeiyaJapan | Grand Seiko | G-Shock | Seiko Spirit | Prospex | Marinemaster | Citizen | 1. GRAND SEIKO
They're popular in Asia, but most Europeans find it very tough to fork out Rolex money for a Seiko, at least at the moment.

Seiko make the most advanced and accurate automatic watch mechanism in the world.
Far better than anything Omega, Rolex or any of the Swiss companies can, have or will ever make.
SPRING DRIVE - SEIKO
Continuous sweeping hands, something the Swiss can only dream of. Was looking at One on Monday

I have two Rolex watches (and six Omegas), but I would broadly agree that Seiko arent broadly appreciated by people who arent actively interested in watches.

I've got Two Rolex. My newest one broke a couple of weeks after i bought it and i still haven't got it back.
Looking at the Springdrive Seiko the other day it was better made than any of the Swiss watches that the dealer had.
Also many many times more exclusive (only sold on 5/6 shops in the whole UK) and won't ever be faked.

Continuous sweeping hands...please explain why the Swiss will be enviouse of this...surely they invented it with the Rolex perpetual, or am I missing something - again.
I can watch this **** all night, waht is wrong with me.
Im watching this BELOW when I should be watching Liverpool getting a lesson in football by Spurs.

Rolex etc and most other COSC certified mechs have 8 little ticks per second at best don't they? You can certainly tell it isn't continuous.
Springdrive is continuous. Once you've seen one work everything else looks crap in comparison.
It's only Liverpool reserves plus a run out for Torres and it's only the Milk cup so not to worry
Spurs won't be challenging for any other cup or league this year so it's massive for them

I really rate these Seiko watches.
The thinking mans watch, maybe?
One for the man who doesn't feel the need to follow the crowd?
I have a Rolex, but wear my Seikos ... my Rolex cost me £10 on the streets of Dubai
Bloody bargain - cheap stuff out there isn't it?
