Wouldn't it just be easier if people sent the money straight to Children In Need? Doesn't this sponsorship limit you to the people you work with?

^^Indeed, that way the money goes straight to BBC Children in Need and they start making money, on the money straight away and is much more secure.

PS. However admirable your intentions may be, don't opt for a career in fundraising when you leave school, you are destined to fail before you even start

You even forgot to post in blue or is not posting in blue also part of you sponsored silence

Anyway if I want to give money to Children in Need I'll do it directly because I know the money will be in safe hands and I can sign the GiftAid declaration so that they can get they tax I've paid on the donation back from the thieving government

Good luck with your silence though

Over £20,000 has been donated to Children In Need, for blind kids in Asia.

I don't know why anyone donated, the kids will never see the money

Good luck with your silence but the way to go about it is to set up a justgiving page like LG suggested. Just asking people to give you money directly is a one way trip to being rejected, use a known and trusted conduit - like justgiving.

p.s. BIG thankyou to everybody on SN that's sponsored me over the years

p.p.s. Dave...

I'm sorry but this screams "Scam" to me. Why would you even ask people to send you money via paypal. Anyone wanting to donate will do it directly to "BBC Children In Need". No need to send it to you via paypal first

**Please don't anyone send money to charities in this way**

Not being funny if you are genuine, but seems a bit obvious not to ask people to do this

If it's a genuine request, you have gone about it in completely the wrong manner, thus not securing yourself any sponsors from SN!!

If it's not genuine, shame on you.

So, no more details on this then, Scooby_69er? What date were you to start from and when was it to finish? How comes you didn't set up a donations page after it was suggested?
Are you just a scammer or have you just been a little naive? Just curious as you've gone all quiet

If you read his post, it doesn't read like good English. Sounds like a scam to me

Aye
I just thought he was really crap at English or dyslexic or something like that, having seen his other posts (I'm not exactly a doctor of English myself). Guess he was just building up to this scam idea then
